Berita mengenai Rahm Emanuel terpilih jadi walikota Chicago sudah muncul sejak 22 Februari 2011, tapi karena saat itu laptopku mulai menunjukkan gejala rusak maka aku tunda dulu. Lagipula semula aku pikir lebih baik sekalian setelah acara inagurasi, namun belakangan baru aku tau ingurasi itu baru akan dilaksanakan pada pertengahan Mei 2011, jadi masih lama.
Rahm Emanuel seperti terapit oleh dua Daley, yaitu terpilih menjadi walikota Chicago yang baru menggantikan Richard Daley walikota Chicago yang lama yang telah menjabat selama 22 tahun, dan William Daley yang ditunjuk oleh presiden Obama untuk menggantikan Rahm Emanuel pada posisi White House chief of staff.
Seperti aku tulis di dua surat terdahulu, “Pengunduran Diri Rahm Emanuel Dan Ujian Nabi Daud a.s.” dan “Lukisan Mahalo Dan Anggota Kongres Gifford Ditembak“, nama belakang dari kedua tokoh itu yaitu Daley mengingatkan aku pada pelukis terkenal Salvador Dali. Sedangkan kota Chicago memiliki makna tersendiri bagi orang seumurku karena dulu di tahun 70-an ada group musik terkenal bernama Chicago, dengan vokalis Peter Cetera, yang dapat dikatakan merupakan group musik favorit untuk orang yang segenerasi dengan aku.
